Sofie has experience advising companies and creditors on financial restructuring, protection of creditor interests, and other insolvency issues, including  bankruptcy, reconstruction and enforcement. She is regularly appointed by Oslo City Court as a liquidator/trustee in bankruptcy cases. She has managed several of the major bankruptcy cases in recent years.

Previously, Sofie worked as a deputy judge with Oslo Byfogdembete (now Oslo City Court), specializing in bankruptcy/insolvency cases and legal enforcement.

Sofie is recognized in restructuring and insolvency by Chambers (Band 3), and Legal 500 highlights her as "Next Generation Partner." Additionally, Sofie is ranked as one of Norway's leading lawyers in the category of Restructuring and Bankruptcy Law in Finansavisen's lawyer survey for 2025. As of 1 January 2026, Sofie has been appointed as a member of the Norwegian Bar Association's legal committee for bankruptcy, composition, lien, enforcement and debt collection.
