Lars-Erik Østerbø is a partner at Wikborg Rein's Finance team, with international shipping, offshore, seafood, export and project financing as his main areas of expertise. He is also regularly engaged by lenders in matters related to restructuring and insolvency, as well as a broad spectre of traditional and untraditional lending and leasing structures.

Østerbø's primary focus is on Norwegian and international banks who are regularly participating in the Norwegian market, as well as Norwegian and international governmental export credit agencies. He also acts regularly for leasing houses and other financial institutions. As part of his practice, he provides strong and proactive project leadership, and he assists his clients with all aspects of the transaction. Østerbø's main legal expertise is within Norwegian contract-, security-, corporate-, and insolvency law, and his main business sector expertise is within shipping, offshore, seafood and banking. Due to the international nature of these sectors, Østerbø is very experienced with multi-jurisdiction transactions, and he has broad knowledge of and contact networks in most relevant jurisdictions.
